It Won't go in!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally opened and used the kitchenaid that I bought over a year ago. I loved the results but am quite disappointed at the flat beater attachment. After a single use, the attachment just won't go in! I can't seem to figure out the issue and am afraid to use any force on it. I tried warm soapy water with no luck, not completely surprised as it was literally used once. Giving this attachment two stars, mainly because it did its job and mixed pretty well. Aside from that, I'm completely disappointed!!!

Such a Shame

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just like the others my beater has oxidized and now I am unable to use the beater. I have my daughters 3rd birthday cake in two weeks with no beater to use. Don't want to buy the white coated beater for fear of it chipping off. Such a shame my other beater I had for 10 years never had this problem with hand washing.

What happened?

I had my first KitchenAid mixer for a couple decades and many military moves before it gave up the ghost in Europe. I was lured away by another brand and recently returned to KitchenAid, a Professional 6 quart. I was surprised at the change in the attachments. They are so lightweight compared to the previous ones I owned. Like others, the main issue is the oxidizing, even when hand washed. Now I have to scrub it each time before I use it. I sure the change has saved money but I would gladly pay more for a more hardy, non oxidizing attachment. I would still recommend a KitchenAid...I bought them for both of my daughters but I would warn them of the attachment issues.
