This is a good mixer for the price. It would be great for someone with limited space or someone that doesn't need to make huge batches. I do think it is somewhat limited because it's not a heavy duty mixer, but it's 1/10 of the price of a heavy duty mixer and a good value for what it can do . It is nice to whip up things quickly like frosting or a cake. I'm not sure the attachments or the motor are strong enough to make bread, but I didn't try. The first thing I noticed was the size. It is quite a bit smaller than my heavy duty mixer, but that's a good thing. It easily fits on the counter and is light enough to move around. It is the perfect size for a small kitchen. It has suction cups on the bottom that hold it firmly in place when in use, but they are not so strong that it is difficult to move it when you need to. The design is great with a button on the side you push to raise and lower the top. I like that it doesn't close unless you push the button. This is especially helpful if you have kids on the counter while using the mixer. They cannot accidently close it and pinch themselves. It is easy to use and has a numbered dial on the side making it really simple to see how much speed or power you are using. The whisk and beater attachement work really well. I wouldn't run it at full power for an extended period of time mixing something that's really thick, but you don't need to do that with most of your daily use. It's nice to not have to get out my heavy duty mixer for something small or quick. It is easy to set up, use and clean. So while it cannot compete with my heavy duty mixer, it has it's place in my kitchen and I plan to use it for a lot of the things I need to mix. It's important to remember that the heavy duty mixers are really expensive and this mixer is priced great for what it can do. But if you are looking for a heavy duty mixer, this will not be what you will want.

** Special Note: parts are not dishwasher safe** I've wanted the kitchen mixer for ages, but affordability was always an issue. These days, quality is the concern. I have cooked professionally for over 40 years, so I have an idea of what I'm looking at, and for. I researched seven different brands of kitchen mixers of this size and up to 7.5 quarts. This Fatabeta Kitchen Mixer had consistently great reviews across the board from many independent sources! I certainly couldn't beat the flash sale price. This kitchen mixer is perfect for me! It arrived quickly and was packaged very well. It came with all of the attachments I was looking for; I love the splash guard, though it did take me a minute to realize they had taped this piece to the heavy duty Styrofoam that supports the mixer in the box. I read the directions carefully, where I discovered that the parts ARE NOT dishwasher safe. I prefer hand washing, so no big deal. I ran it through each of its speeds as directed; it performed perfectly. Now make no mistake, this is not a Kitchenaid or a Hobart. This particular model is not particularly large, So double batches, or extra large batches would probably not be a good idea. However, for a single person, retire, cooking hobbiest, or anything up to a family of three, I believe it is absolutely the right size! What I really love about it, in addition to how aesthetically pleasing it looks on my counter, is that it is very lightweight compared to my son's name brand kitchen mixer. There's no strain or "hefting" it around. It also has a 1000 watt motor, which is more powerful than other brands that cost more. I can attest to how well the suction cups on the bottom stick. LOL So I've placed mine on a placemat that makes it easy for me to move around until I am actually ready to turn it on. The attachments slip on very easily, so for my arthritic hands, this is very nice. The splash prevention lid offers a nice sized hole for adding ingredients as it's mixing and covers the bowl well. It is also very easy to slip on and off for cleaning. It does not get in the way when the head of the unit is lifted. The bowl is one of the easiest I have ever seen to slip in and out. You merely place it in and twist. The dial is very easy to operate, and I love that right there, printed on the side above the speed dial, it lists the speeds you should use for each of the different attachments. This is very helpful and means I don't have to pull the book out to look. It did a wonderful job mixing my first batch of dough and I am confident, although there's always room to be wrong, that it will continue to perform for my needs. I absolutely love this mixer. And while I reserve the right to change my review, should it fail in the near future, I absolutely would recommend this brand especially for anyone whose just starting out with equipment.
