Be prepared for a BIG chair.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm 400 lbs and about 5'8". Needed a new office chair and was willing to spend the extra money for something more durable than the standard chairs at the usual office supply chain stores. Ordered this chair on a Tuesday, and it was delivered 2 days later. It requires some assembly, but it's not unmanageable. What I wasn't prepared for was the size of the seat. The seat depth (front to back) is HUGE. I don't have long legs, so I couldn't really sit all the way back. Additionally, the back didn't appear to have an adjustment to bring it forward to meet my body. I felt like I had to recline to reach the back. That was pretty uncomfortable, so I sat forward without any back support ... which made me feel like I was sitting on a wide cushioned stool. I admit that I didn't bother to attach the arms, because I had a feeling I might be returning it - and I did within one week. Walmart took it back with no questions asked. I'm sure this chair would work for others, it was just too big for me. A taller user would probably fair much better.

    Good Seat so Far

I have had this chair for a few weeks and I am a very heavy man. This seat is remarkably sturdy though do agree with some of the other reviews in that the seat might be deep for some people. I am 5' 11" and like my chairs tall though so it suits me just fine. The seat width is quite nice. I do not spill over it at all and the arm rests raise to a good height. I sit in it for 4-7 hours every evening as it is my main computer chair and have had no issues. I would recommend this to any heavy person who is looking for a good seat and doesn't want to drop $500-700 on one. So far it's been a good sturdy seat.
