Sharp looking piece
We bought two of these and placed them side by side. The trim work around the bottom really adds to the shelves and makes them look more sophisticated than earlier generations of these types of shelves. Putting it together took some time, but all of these products do with the unboxing, matching the hardware and screws with the proper step, etc. It is not solid wood, but the construction seems sturdy enough. Hopefully the shelves will not sag, but we are not planning on putting a lot of heavy books or other items on the shelf.

Beautiful and Sturdy
Although the product arrived well-packaged, one of the doors was cracked. A quick call to Sauder customer service took care of that & three days later I had a new unblemished door, free of charge. The bookshelf part of this piece was a cinch to put together, but installing and adjusting the doors was a giant pain in the rear (tip: loosen up the depth screw before you try to install the doors). The library is heavy & the shelves have stood up well these past two weeks with daily use. In time I'm sure I'll see a little wear, but that is to be expected. The only thing I would change about this piece is the width. I would like to see it available in a 36" width to match the heavy-duty Sauder bookshelf I bought. Other than that, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product.
