I was concerned that the dip would be problematic and cause discomfort using in bed, but it turns out this is its best feature. it keeps my mouse from sliding out of the table when I move around in bed, and the laptop itself is almost exactly the same height, so it's a snug but comfortable fit! This is one of the smallest options I could find that was still large enough for a laptop and a mouse, without the stupid cupholder holes that all the other ones have. Plus, because the way the legs sit, with four points of contact instead of a curved bar, it is VERY stable! Small footprint but highly functional, I absolutely love this thing.
