Rit All-Purpose Powder Dye, Navy Blue, 1.125 oz

I decided to redo an old chair with very ugly upholstery and dark wood legs and arms. I tried to bleach the upholstery outside, but bleach did nothing. It may be a synthetic fiber. Since the chair was free I decided to use RIT dye. I first wet the upholster with a lot of warm water, than mixed a strong (almost double powder to water ratio recommended) very hot dye mix, and put some in a spray bottle and put the chair on a drop cloth on the grass. I sprayed and used a sponge and went over ever area and added more spray if it was uneven. Left it over night and it came out gorgeous and completely covered the ugly pale green zig zag pattern. After priming and painting the wood a slightly off white it is beautiful!! The Rit Dye was amazing. Now I just want to lock the fabric color in with Rit color Stay Dye Fixative.
