Rubber-Cal's Eco-Safety Tiles are recycled rubber floor tiles that are 2.5 inches thick and available in four aesthetically pleasing colors: Coal, Blue, Green, and Terra Cotta. The tiles are ideal for playgrounds and can prevent life-threatening head injuries on playgrounds up to 6 feet in height. One of the concerns regarding rubber flooring is installation. With Eco-Safety Tiles, installation is a nonissue; the tiles utilize an interlocking mechanism to connect to other tiles without messy adhesives. Each tile has two slots on each of the four sides (eight slots per tile). By inserting the included plastic connector pins in each slot, a tile can be connected with another tile by aligning and pushing together a corresponding tile. The connector pins are made of hard plastic with ferruled edges, which hold the pins in place inside the tile. For a flush, full flooring installation, you can simply trim the tiles with a sharp utility knife where needed, making for a very simple and easy DIY installation that can be done by anyone!
