Hyper Bicycles 29" Carbon Fiber Mountain Bike, Adults Ages 13+, Black/Green

I used to race BMX bikes back in the day. When not racing, my friends and I would build ramps and jump anything we could. We destroyed our bikes and loved it. Now that I'm all grown up, I miss that. So, the thought of a road bike isn't for me. I decided to get this mountain bike. In college, I had a garbage Huffy that got stolen, but this thing is on a different level altogether. First off, it looks fantastic. The mat black and bright green look sweet. Second, this is pretty light - not as light as some of my racing bikes (they were also 20" inchers), but light. Name brand parts are everywhere: examples being SNFU and Shimano. In general, this bike as a quality look and feel that I appreciate. Putting it together was kind of a chore since the front drum brake cable was routed behind the tire and kept getting stuck on the tire treads. I had to disassemble the front brake lever to re-rout the cable on the correct side. Many people would struggle with that - not sure if this bike was the exception or the rule. Other than that, it was simple to assemble and if it wasn't raining as much, I would have taken it out a lot longer (the rain had stopped, but it was wet). The one thing I can't help but think about though is how durable this bike really is. I can't see myself jumping anything except off a curb or the like. I also felt better with a chromoly frame. Anyway, as of now, I am in love with bikes again.
