We live in Alaska, so a fat bike isn't just something we think is cool, it's a good way to get through the snow we still have all over our streets and trails right now. I've never owned another fat bike and am not very experienced with mountain bikes either, but so far we are delighted with this bike. We're buying another now that the bigger one is available. We've found the mid size fits me (5'7 female, long legs) - and seems a little small for my 14 yr old son (5'10) and my husband (6'1). Both can ride the midsize but seems like the large will be a better fit. We call the saddle a medieval torture instrument - you'll want to get one from Amazon - for as low as $20 (the iPow) you can get one, we are still undecided between that one, the Wittkop city, and a couple of Cloud 9s we are still waiting for. Breaks seem fine on the snow - had some odd squeaking/vibration in front but after the hub adjusted a couple things that went away. Seems like a lot of reviewers for bikes on Amazon give thinigs a 1 star because they couldn't figure out how to use an allen wrench. We've scoured the web high and low for other fat bikes and found nothing for this price that offers so much - my hub liked the Northrock XCF in Canadian Costcos but we have no idea if that will ever come here. The fat bikes at stores here in Anchorage are mostly $1000 . So we couldn't be happier with this bike. If something goes really wrong I'll update! But do yourself a favor and order your new seat before your bike comes. Even the 12
