I love this nail polish, it has a nice color and is long lasting, however it can be streaky if you apply thin coats. It's easy to be precise with the thin brush. It has helped my nails a ton to use a strengthener as a base coat. My nails last well over a week (and that's for someone who is constantly doing dishes and keeping the house clean). Highly recommend!!

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish is living up to its hype! This is my first time to use it and after 4 days, it still looks good. I'm a little concerned about not using a base coat, but followed their instructions to use the polish on bare nails, followed by this clear top coat.

This may be one of my new favorite nude creme shades. Princess Charming is very similar to OPI's Somewhere Over the Rainbow Mountains, but it definitely lasts longer on my nails. As someone with cool toned fair skin, it's taken me forever to try all the colors that might suit my skin tone, but this one was definitely worth the wait.

Most of the time, I just want a nail polish that looks subtle, but elegant. Sheer Fantasy is exactly that - it's that little bit of "you, but better." I can wear a single coat with a matte topcoat to look like I'm not wearing polish at all, or I can layer it to build up the color. Versatility win!

I've been a fan of Essie for so long now. I adore the vast shade selection, especially the new summer colours. My go to has to be drip drip followed by this gorgeous top coat that shines beautifully. Great quality and lasts all week without chipping !

This is the only bottle of nail polish I have ever repurchased. It's my most complimented color by a mile and the perfect warm weather red!! Application is so easy and the formula is so solid. Will always be a fan!!

The applicator is thick and applies the top coat very easily. The finish is shiny and even and I feel like I spent 30 minutes in a asking even though I did it in less than 10 minutes on my couch! It also dries pretty quickly which means I'm not worrying about messing up my nails! I would definitely recommend this top coat and will be buying again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this polish complimentary from Influenster. First, I'd like to say I love the brush they used for this polish. They should make all of the Essie polishes have this brush. It makes polish application easier and more even. The gel polish itself is also a nice upgrade from the regular polish. I used the top coat overtop this polish and ipolish has lasted me over a week with minimal chips. The reason I gave the polish 4 stars is because I'm not a huge fan of the color. I did receive it for free, so I really can't complain. But, I'd describe the color as periwinkle - light blue with a hint of purple. This might be perfect for someone else, but I like more pink tones.

As previous reviews from years ago have suggested - it's unclear that this product is sheer when looking at it on the shelf. Disappointed to bring it home and find out that it has next to no colour on the first coat, and very difficult to even notice on a second coat. I'd liken this more to a tinted top coat, than an actual nail colour. First time buying Essie - and I don't often pay for expensive nail polish - so a disappointing discovery and feel like due to the price, there definitely should be better branding regarding things like this.

Does anyone in the UK have photos they can share of this product on their own nails? The bottle I currently own (“inside scoop”) is this exact color and I love it. A little sheer but with 2-3 coats, it's a very nice pale pink (closer to white than to pink). I'm trying to buy (I actually bought) a new bottle in the US and inside scoop is now pepto bismol pink… Truly, the “inside scoop” on the UK Essie website looks completely different than the one advertised on the US Essie site. So disappointing. I'm wondering if the colors in the advertisement photos are off or if the UK just has the original/better version…
