After reading some reviews I was concerned I may have a negative experience but it's been awesome! First off there is a sticker on the unit that says “wait three hours” and just to make sure I called (got great customer service quickly) it's from the time delivered. Second, It was very simple to attach the pieces and they have stayed put! The instructions do say the insert for the window width may need to be trimmed and I just used some garden clippers came right off! My daughter's room is the upstairs of an old home we rent and there is not any central air and this thing dropped the heat from 85 to 69 the first night! I don't plug it in until the evening but it works fast. I have not had to empty any water yet but the hose that comes with it will make it easy to empty if needed. Only negative was a bird kept trying to come into the vent hose so I had to add a piece of mesh which was very easy I just slid it between the vent and window extension piece. So far it's been life saver!!

This is a good unit for the money. I had to get a window adapter for the exhaust through Amazon for $27 since I had vertical windows but it made it possible to use one of these units for a room over the garage which typically need more cooling. Now the room is comfortably cold. A good alternative to spending thousands of dollars.

I just bought this guy for Phoenix Summer to see if it can pay for itself in one season. The plan is to use the big ac to cool off house first, and then have this guy work in bedroom only for the night. So far, set up has been very easy. It blows cold air at around 40f with room temperature of 70. I will update this along as heat rolls in.

We had originally purchased this A/C last summer, but we had a fire and lost it. We chose to not shop around for a different one because this little A/C packs power! It is a very impressive A/C. Not just for its size, but any size. You wont regret purchasing it!

We replaced a different unit that had started producing way more water than could evaporate so bucket dumping was getting annoying. This unit cools the bedroom wonderfully but the compressor is very loud. If you are use to fans running and separate ac units running it is livable but does wake me up some during the night. but at ~$350 its a decent choice.

i purchased this AC in August or 2024. Used it through the beginning of October 2024. Began using it again in May 2025 and it quit operating on August 27, 2025. Though thats a year, it only operated for a total of 7 months. i wish i didn't have to use these portable units. They do not last very long. I'm on my 3rg purchase in 5 years. . Mind you there are less than 6 months a year we use AC in Ohio.

It helps slightly but not like a AC should it barely cools even one room on my upstairs floor and saying that cools it at all is being generous it's like a fan with a cool breeze from outside

I bought this for my classroom as it was one on the list that was approved to purchase. I am NOT pleased with it at all. It runs from 630am to about 3pm and my room is still 83 degrees in the room by the end of the day... you can't feel the air at all unless you are literately standing in front of it about 1 foot away.

Purchased this so called air conditioner last year before summer . The cold air of the conditioning didn’t work at all. All I wanted was to do was to replace it with another unit. With several back and forth communications they ended up giving me a rebate of $200 (I paid the full $299 price) I gave an extra star because I’m the worlds greatest procrastinator and was past any warranty that I was aware of.

Do not purchase!!!! I received this AC the first day I got it i set it up and it does not work. I tried to start a return being since it is from costway Walmart has it set up to have to do a return through costway. I have tried 3 different times through costway to do a return. It always says someone from costway will contact me within 48 hours. The first time I tried the return was Aug 30th. Still to this day noone has contacted me. I tried going through Walmart and the man on the phone said someone would contact me within 24 hours and still 3 days later no one has contacted me. So here i sit with a $310 AC that does NOT work and i am out my money. DO NOT BUY THIS or it will happen to you as well!!
