It is the lowest of the Sandisk brand (in price) but so far, so good. Put all my files in it and works fine.

I'd been needing one of these for a while now and I finally got around to buying it. I use it to run an iMac and so far it has been great. I also love the vibrant colors of the device, and the sleekness of it.

Do not buy a USB-C to USB-C charging cable for this. Most of those have fine print saying they only work at 480Mbits/second. The USB-C to USB-A cable that comes with it is rated at 5Gbits/second and almost keeps up to the SSD. I bought a 10Gbit/sec USB-C to USB-C cable for my macbook and get the full speed. Do not buy if you want to use this on a MacBook Air. The first drive I purchased would only connect to the computer intermittently. I have tried this on multiple Mac's with the same result. I sent this back and received a replacement drive and still have the same issue. Returning for another replacement wouldn't make sense if I still have the same issue.

Toooooooo Slow

There's this thing. It's called FALSE ADVERTISING. And it certainly applies here. I unfortunately bought two of these 2TB drives and when I eventually got around to using them I noticed they seemed really slow. I checked the formatting, ran BlackMagic tests and I am getting aprox 125-165 mb/s write speeds. This is using the supplied cable, plugged directly into the first port on a new Mac Mini m2. The drive is formatted correctly, using APFS, has barely been used. I just can't believe it! So disappointed with these.

I bought the 1 TB version and – surprise – it can't be formatted on a Mac. The "firmware issue that presents itself in very limited situations" is apparently a lie, the internet is full of reports and there is no solution by Sandisk/WD, only excuses. There is a firmware update that works on Windows and anyway, this model is "officially" not affected by problems. Don't bother asking for a serial number, it's officially not affected so I guess there will never be a solution. I will have this replaced by the shop and buy from a more reliable manufacturer. I will warn other people to buy Sandisk products.
