This is probably the 4th or 5th pair of these boots I have purchased and will continue to purchases these as long as I am wearing uniform type boots. They are easily broken in and can be a little uncomfortable until they are broken in but feel like tennis shoes once they are. They are very sturdy and comfortable and the zipper lasts as long as the rest of the boot. I have only had to order new ones each time because of wearing the sole down to literally nothing.

I bought a pair of 10" side zipper jump boots, (style 2090), approximately 30 years ago. They held up wonderfully and when they developed a split (which probably wouldn't have happened if I oiled the leather) in them that would have cost the same amount to fix as purchasing a new pair, I did just that. When I received them I gave them a good look and they appear to be the same in most ways. The differences were small. Wearing them, it feels to me that the uppers may be a bit thinner leather. This may not be a bad thing because they are pretty comfortable out of the box. I remember the old pair taking a while to break in causing me blisters. I will add that they do run large. I usually wear a 10. In these I need a 9W. Will the new pair be as good as my cherished old pair? Only time will tell.

I have continuously bought this boot for the last several years! I buy it for 2 reasons, comfort, and it lasts! This is hands down the best boot I have ever owned. My job requires that I am on my feet for a long time and I can count on this boot to help overcome foot discomfort due to long periods of standing.

Great boot. The sizes run about a size and a half larger than stated, but they were excellent with exchanging.

I bought these boots over ten years ago. I have no idea why I only just now got an email for a review. They served me well through four years of disaster relief and EMS.

After wearing the boots constantly I love them. Unfortunately the zipper gave out after nearly 2 years of wear. Overall great boot and extremely comfortable

I loved this boot. But man: the quality is awful now. I've always worn these boots, every day since about 2015. The quality has dropped consistently every time I buy new. I'm in IT, I hike, and they see snow; I do condition and clean the boots. They fit, they look nice, but they more or less fall apart in a year or two. Not a great booy anymore, just a boot.

These boots are HEAVY & Tight for my feet. It will cause or exacerbate a bunion if you are experiencing this medical condition. I know of one who worked in SWAT & had to get surgery to correct his bunion blaming the boots he was wearing as cause of it. They look really nice and professional BUT in the end it's really about comfort.

This is my third pair I have bought of this boot. The old version had a heavy duty YKK zipper. The new pair that I just bought online came with a small nylon chincy zipper. The main reason I go with rocky over other similar style boots was that they had the best side zipper. Very disappointed. I am a firefighter, I put on and take off my boots frequently while on duty. I am sure it will fail soon.

Bought these boots because I had previously ordered same boots before. They are poorly built. The snap buttons don't snap. The zippers have changed from the previous order by being a bit smaller or narrow. Both laces were missing the plastic tips. Even though the box was plastic wrapped, the box was damaged. I didn't notice until removing the plastic wrap.
