I have searched for a while everywhere for a soft and plush rug for my new condo. Can't believe I stumbled upon this rug in the review session in Walmart.com and I loved the way it looks and feels. Firstly, the design. This is a beautiful, thick, plush, and perfectly design rug! To be honest I think the pictures don't do it justice - it looks so much better than I thought. The rug has a timeless look with modern touch yet traditional look, and it would easily mix with any design of the room, especially fit perfectly with mid-century modern style furniture I believe. And I think it will contrast very nicely with lighter color wood floors or lighter carpet. Secondly, the feel. I took my shoes off and rested my feet on it when reviewing (did not take a picture since my socks are not matching the carpet lol). The rug just cushions your feet in heaven! So soft and cozy... Not hard to imagine myself even sleeping on it in my living room. Thirdly, the size. It is the perfect size to go around a sectional in the living room. Great rug!!! This rug looks and feels like a premium rug! I personally wanted a rug that was both SOFT, COMFTY and looks stylish for my living room. This was definitely the best option for its price point. With rugs.... pick two: comfy, decently priced, beautiful. This rug has all 3. Quality is the other bonus that most rugs dont have. No, I am not just talking about high luscious pile and thick-cushioned feel under your feet, both of which it has. I am specifically talking how easy it is to care for. I use bleach dilute on this rug all the time! It works like a charm and lifts everything up For people who dont have kids or dogs, you might not care. But for those of us who do, the worst thing about buying such an elegant rug, is the maintenance. Is it easy to care for? Will it be easy to clean and get rid of dust, allergens and other food particles embedded in the fibers? Will the high pile stay somewhat high and super soft on your feet after a long day at work? Will it prevent stain and not discolored and dingy? Yes. I bought this rug for one reason specifically: i have toddlers and at the time was learning to crawl. So when my crawling/rolling toddler kept falling back on the hardwood, I decided it was time to get a rug. Normal rugs werent soft enough. This Safavieh rug cushioned all his falls! I am not surprised. The rug has a super high pile and the fibers are THICK. No joke. It is more comfortable than my couch. I took pictures of the pile after having it for an entire year almost. Previously, I had a lovely ikea rug with a pretty high pile. Over time however it has become so thin. The fibers have worn out. The safavieh rugs fibers are still super thick. The reason? Maybe its better fiber quality but it seems to be that the rug has MORE fibers (yarn) throughout. This is why it is so PLUSH and THICK. Each 5 inches of the rug has more fibers than other "shag" rugs. Normally, a rug with more fibers would cost more. But this rug is surprisingly decently priced. The only problem I have is actually not with the rug at all; it's that the price on the 8×10 rug we purchased changed prices several times a day dropping drastically and going back up drastically. Prices changes of up to $80 at a time. I think the lowest I saw it before I stopped checking was in the 170's. Just keep an eye on the price before you buy it. It's well worth it either way and a definite steal compared to other carpets like it. I am actually looking to get another one for my bedroom as well! “I am writing this review as part of a contest”

This rug is so beautiful and has a great thickness for anyone who loves to sit on the floor like me. It is pretty soft and provides a great cushion when you sit or lay down on the floor, especially on hard tiled floors like my living room. The color is also very good looking and can pair with any room or furniture color. My living room wall is white and couches are brown so its color and pattern will definitely add a warm and home feeling to the room. Plus, the price and quality are great! If you're interested in a thick shag, aesthetically-pleasing rug - this is the one for you! I've been looking for a shag rug for my bedroom for awhile now and ultimately decided on this one for its quality and affordable price point. It's so luxurious! The 2 inch pile thickness is soft and spongy on the feet and makes getting out of bed in the morning that much easier. I also love the grey geometric pattern - super glam & cute and it blends well with my other contemporary decor of my room. My home is hardwood floored throughout, so this provides an easy boost of warmth and comfort that I didn't know I needed. The quality is also top notch, with durable loomed yarn that shows no wear despite high daily traffic. It's also super easy to clean/vacuum which is great. After searching near and far for something affordable that would match my transitional living area with my white upholstered sofas, this worked perfectly in the space. The rug came well packaged and rolled out easily and stayed flat. It's also thick and plush which makes it comfy when I'm sitting on the floor in my living room doing work on the coffee table. I spilled some coffee on it the other day but wiped it up quickly and no coffee stains to be seen (granted it's a dark color to begin with). I have a dog and he loves rolling around on the rug. This rug is definitely the best deal I found online, it feels super lush and expensive and I really recommend it to anyone who's looking for a quality chic rug.

it's so hard to find a good rug that works well blending in with all the other elements of a living room but this one works! My style is modern, sophisticated and yet simply elegant and this is the best way to describe the Safavieh Hudson Arline Geometric area rug. It's soft and ultra plush to the touch and I love coming home after a long day at work and sinking my tootsies into this rug - like walking on a cloud! The shag is enough to feel cozy but not too shaggy that you can't vacuum it. You won't need a pad to put underneath it - the back of the rug won't scratch your hardwood floors and it has fairly thick fibers making it look very luxurious. All of this plus the great price point, you won't need to take out a small loan to own this rug in your home - super affordable but looks like you paid a lot! Its a best one in every home and good in the price. I put this pad under my rug and boom, my rug lies flat and stays firmly in place! My rug is a unique size, and it was very easy to trim the pad. The driver didn't follow the instructions at all. Left the heavy rug on the side of the building and blocked the gate. The instruction were to use Colgate code: 1975 and deliver the rug to unit 5.
