good for some music

I'm no audiophile, but enjoy lots of different music on cd and vinyl. These seem great for singer/song writer type music (clear vocals, acoustic guitars etc), but not so good for loud rock music, or heavy bass. Maybe my room set up is not so perfect, who knows. I'll keep them, but they dont seem to be much better than the similar size 100w Onkyo speakers I have from a 20 year old 5.1 system.
