Great for real corks, not so great for synthetic

This is a great tool. I like using it rather than my battery operated opener because I hate tossing away batteries. This air pressure opener works perfectly real corks, but I find it doesn't work well with synthetic corks.

What a surprise!!!

I was sick of having to knife my way into a bottle of corked wine to get the film off the top of the wine bottle just to get to the cork. Then you have to deal with a cork that has the tears on the bottom and difficult to get the cork back in to refigerate. This little and cost-effective gadget takes care of both these items. It cuts just the top of the cork cover off and then releases the cork using air, which leaves the cork in shape so you can easily get it back in! I love this purchase!!!
