Sort and rinse before cooking. Basic Cooking InstructionsStovetop: Rinse lentils before cooking. Place 1 cup lentils in a large pot with 4 cups water and 1/2 tsp salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover and cook until tender, about 20-30 minutes, drain well. Slow Cooker: Rinse lentils before cooking. Place 1 cup lentils, 4 cups water and 1/2 tsp salt into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours; drain well. Multi-Cooker: Rinse lentils before cooking. Place 1 cup lentils, 4 cups water and 1/2 tsp salt in the pot of a multi-cooker. Set the valve to sealing. On manual setting and high pressure, set for 6 minutes. Natural release the pressure for 20 minutes; drain well.Note: To reduce cooking time, soak 1 cup soup mix overnight in 3 cups water and 1 tsp salt. Drain and follow cooking instructions above. ~Makes 4 servings.

I love anything Bob's Red Mill. These lentils are the bomb! They don't get mushy have a great texture and mesh well with a lot. I use them for a shepherd's pie and lentil Italian soup and a Swedish meatball recipe I have. They're delish. Even my hubby who's not a fan of these lentils loves them and finds them filling.

Great quality lentils
I use lentils very often in my recipes, so I was pleased with the packaging and amount of lentils you receive. Lentils are great for a nutritious meal and benefits your everyday diet. Love to also make snacks and patties out of them as well! Tasted great in my recipes.

Love it
A good source of protein, I usually add it with red lentils for Curry / Lentil Soup / with rice. Brown lentils stay in shape after cooked / boiled, giving a different texture than Red Lentil (which is soluble). A great side dish of seabass / salmon.
