Conair Xtreme Steam Iron has lots of features!
Conair Extreme Steam 1875W Pro Steam Iron, Model GI300
This Conair Iron is a powerhouse of an iron it’s 1875 watts of power is amazing for this size of appliance and it generates a lot of heat which is great for the steam function and the self-cleaning function of the iron. I used this to iron a shirt out today and was amazed at the speed which the heat allows you to iron, and the steam function is incredible.
I did use the iron regularly on the first shirt then I used the steam function on my shirt which I had on a hanger hanging on the wall; just using the steam I was able to iron it out with just the steam it produces; which makes it nice if you need to just refresh a shirt with the steam. The ironing process with this iron is super-fast compared to other irons I’ve used. The spray function is perfect for a nice even mist spraying onto the shirt or article you are ironing; it gives off a lot of spray and its’ perfectly spread out; I really liked this function as well.
The instructions say to only use “TAP WATER”, I found this pretty amazing and upon reading a little farther it will void your warranty if you are using distilled water. The reason for tap water is the anti-Calc (anti calcium), function; which is a resin filter inside the iron that never needs changed and will remove all or most of the calcium that can be generated by the iron. Conair has made a large opening for filling the iron with tap water and makes it an easy no mess operation.
All the above were the pros, the only cons if you want to call them that is the following; using the temperature adjusting knob to me was more difficult than it should have been. The knob is smooth, and it was slightly difficult for me to adjust it to the temperature it needed to be at; as it was so slick, with nothing to grip to except smooth plastic. The only other issue I had with the iron is when I put it into the off position it takes a long time for the iron to cool completely and the green temperature indicator light just flashes green continuously even with the iron off and cool. The instructions do say to turn the iron to the off position and unplug it; and allow it to cool; so this one is my fault not there’s I did think I’d mention it though as I felt it was kind of important to know that the indicator light stays on continuously.

Steam Function is really, really good and you can steam something in the vertical position as well as horizontally, perfect for refreshing a shirt or taking out a rogue wrinkle!
Uses TAP WATER, awesome feature!
Internal Resin Filter never needs changing and stops calcium in its tracks!
Self-Clean Function to remove anything under the Nano Titanium plate! Very easy to clean!
Makes ironing super-fast and easy; very, very good iron overall! Looks great too; love the Nano Titanium Plate!
Temperature indicator light is red when the temperature is not ready and green when it is, so no guess work there!
CONS:
Only one real con to me is the temperature adjust knob is slick plastic, with nothing for you’re fingers to grip onto to turn it! It is a little thing but with my large long fingers it was a little harder for me to adjust.
AT LAST: I would absolutely recommend this iron to anyone it’s truly a great iron, and it makes ironing clothes so fast; it holds the temperatures super well; even when using steam function!
