2 boxes, but packaged well and organized. Took me about 3 hours by myself with some interruptions. Heavy and sturdy. Directions were easy to follow. Mattress was not included, but I purchased a 6 inch, and there is plenty of space. The drawer holds a substantial amount of anything, and it's convenient to have the power outlet and USB.
