When you first use this. You might smell some burning plastic. I ended up contacting customer support and they said that this was pretty typical for the first couple uses. Heat up pretty fast. Works just like all the other laminators that I have used in the past. This does have a little bit more noise to it than others. But it gets the job done he's evenly.

I've used this laminater 4 times so far. For under $20, i can't complain about performance. the 1st sheet had some slight bubbling. The instructions say to use the 1st sheet as a practice or scrap sheet, i assume for this reason. i did run it through a second time, and the bubbling was gone. since the 1st run, the bubbling hasnt been an issue. i will say the button on the top got stuck the 1st time i pushed it to turn it on to adjust the sheet thickness. it took some wiggling, but it popped back out and functions as it should. stuff sounds like it's rattling around inside, maybe like a heating coil. not that that's an issue or alters the performance, just unexpected on my end. It's kind of worrysome when you have no experience with laminaters.

Perfect for occasional, small, laminating jobs
I ordered this to replace one at our office that got a paper stuck with no way to get it out and this is a very nice upgrade. We don't use it often, so I expect that it will last for a really long time. From the time that I unboxed it until I was laminating was just a few minutes and it did a good job at laminating. Probably not heavy duty enough if you do a lot of laminating, but for occasional, small jobs, this is perfect.
