Works as it should. We use it for cheese and yogurt making, among other things, so the water proof feature is nice (we try not to let it drop into the milk but things happen). Not sure on the battery length because we've only had it a few weeks.

This meat thermometer is very nice and sturdy, looks like it will last a long time, I love how it turns on when you open it, I tested it on some chicken and it worked great, very easy to read plus its also a bottle opener, all of this and at a great price too

10/10!!! Perfect for anything!!

I was low key not expecting much at such a reasonable price point, and I'm blown away!! My last meat thermometer was annoying to turn on and off with long button presses etc, as well as it being oxy even though it was small, and literally falling apart in no time! This one is so easy to use with its ergonomic design, including the bottle opener being a good finger hole you can spin with no worry of cutting yourself! It almost acts as a carabinier! I will be hooking this to my apron in no time! The first thing I found in the ample packaging was a red disc, and I was so excited to find out(with no help from the instructions) that it was a key!! You can actually replace the battery in this!! Not sure why I haven't seen that before, but I am very pleased to see it now. Just to be scientific, when checking the calibration I was very impressed with the speed that it reads a higher temperature than what it was at previously. It does take about 15 to 20 seconds to get back down to a lower temperature before the reading can be considered legitimate, this is a much higher quality device than many others on the market at this price point. I have have higher standards now with this one!
