I love this powder. I bought it as a fiber supplement and the hemp protein is an added benefit. Hemp seeds are a complete protein, meaning they contain all of the essential amino acids and then some, so it's an excellent source of readily available protein for the body. Incomplete protein sources, such as most nuts and seeds, need to be completed by amino acids stored in the body in order for the muscles to use them. This means they won't be quickly utilized and take time and energy to make the protein available for major body systems. Not all body systems require a complete source of protein, but those that do can't use incomplete sources very quickly. And if an individual has digestive issues, which these days is very common, even less of the product actually gets absorbed fast enough to use it. I do wish the container lists where the hemp seeds are sourced from, since it's not labeled as an organic product, so that I can research the kinds of chemicals that were used to grow and process the seeds. And I'm not confident there are no anti-caking agents additives included even though none are listed. Overall, this is a great value product with tremendous digestive and anti-inflammatory benefits, not to mention lots of protein to get the morning started off right.
