Delivers on performance in every way

At first glance, the Sennheiser RS 195 RF Wireless Headphones come off as clunky, outdated and overly-plastic. They are not exactly ugly, but they do lack style and elegance. All of this is immediately forgiven once you start actually using the headphones. Setup is plug and play, though adjustments can be dialed in and set for those with hearing impairment. Most users will likely stick to even balance between left and right cans and the middle "D" setting for treble/bass balance. The headphones also have 3 modes. The first/normal mode provides a flat, even response, which is almost always my preference. The second/speech mode is for listening to speech, likely movies, phone calls, or (in my case) audio books. This mode is very effective at cleaning up noise and adding both clarity and depth to voices. The third/dynamic mode embellishes the soundstage, resulting in a convincingly 'live concert' sound quality. Surprisingly, I found myself drawn to this mode more than the normal mode for most music, though I typically prefer normal mode for most classical (especially small ensembles) or otherwise unplugged tracks. Overall, the sound quality is nearly flawless. Between the three modes, I really can't find an audio source that doesn't sound absolutely amazing with these headphones. The clarity, range, balance, punch and fidelity all exceeded my expectations. It is hard to believe these are wireless. While I do not have anything on-hand at this price point for a direct comparison, it beats out all of the mid-range sets i have around the 100-300 range overall. I am using a desktop with digital audio output from a mid-range sound card and mostly high-quality or .flac audio files. I tried to max out the range by using the headphones in my basement with the receiver on the 2nd floor. The advertised range of 100m seems accurate. Reception is great throughout my house. I have to go outside to get the signal to breakup noticeably or drop entirely. Charging the set is easy, and it uses 2x generic NiMH rechargeable AAA batteries so you can easily replace them if you forget to charge it or if the batteries stop holding a full charge. The set automatically turns off when you charge them. These are also the most comfortable wireless headphones I have worn. While the cans are bulky, the headset is fairly light - lighter than many of my wired headphones. I can wear these for hours without discomfort or much ear-sweat. Buttons on the right can control mode-switching and volume. There is also a power button. Ther are no buttons for skipping to the next song, etc. I would easiliy recommend these headphones to anyone with a generous budget looking for quality, wireless sound with almost any audio source. Sennheiser managed to justify the price point and then some. While I am disappointed that more attention and effort weren't paid to the aesthetic appeal of the heapdhones, I couldn't find any functional issues.

Best Headphones!

I am essentially deaf. I bought these to see if I could understand the TV. My first listen was President Trump's SOTU address. Lo and behold I could understand every word our great President said! Fantastic! I can't understand a thing with the LG soundbar we have, totally useless for me the wife no. If you struggle understanding the TV, get a pair of these great headphones from Focus. Sennheiser are the best! I received excellent service from Focus Camera and will purchase other items in the future.

Great TV Headphones for Hearing Impaired

These headphones work great using the digital audio output on TV. It allows my husband to be able to hear TV through headphones while I listen to the TV speakers and I no longer have to have the sound so loud that I damage my hearing. This unit really helps clarify the dialogue when the background noise is too loud.
