Other features include an ultra-thin thermometer tip, handy pocket/storage sleeve that can also be used as a handle extension, and an F/C conversion switch. Combined with a temperature range that reaches a high 482 degrees Fahrenheit, this thermometer will become one of the most useful precision tools in the kitchen. Helpful hints: digital thermometers are not meant to be left in food during cooking. The plastic and electronic components could be damaged with excessive heat. Important: thermometer will be hot after use. Use potholders or oven mitts when handling hot thermometer.

I choose this one bc it is digital, work great. No problems yet. Very accurate readings, I used it to test the water warmth, baking home made bread. Temp needed to be at 105- 115 degrees so the yeast can devolve. And foam up. Wanted to make sure I wasn't making the water too hot. Plus I needed a temp reader. Never owned one but now I do. Very happy with my purchase!
