Blackstone Adventure Ready Outdoor Griddle, 2-Burner 22" Propane Flat Top Grill with Cover, Black

This griddle is great. It is heavy and well built. It is easy to start with two independent controls you can use one side or both. When it is just me and my wife I only fire up one side. When I am feeding more I light up both burners. I like the orange "adventure" color, it is easy to see and stands out from other griddles. Seasoning it takes some time so plan on devoting some time to getting it prepared for the next big even. I might recommend while you are cooking our using a different outdoor cooking source or maybe doing some yard work. I was planning on doing some tailgating but I cannot use my tailgate with a bed liner due to the heat that comes off it and I haven't found a good stand that is easily portable. I know Blackstone makes one but I have not seen one in my area. I have been using my griddle to cook dinners and have been greatly impressed with the results. I have not tried to make breakfast items on it yet but maybe soon will try breakfast for dinner just to try it out on tradition breakfast items that are great on a griddle. I love this griddle and as I pick up more accessories to go with it I am sure I will love it even more.

I'm a huge fan of Blackstone griddles. I've owned an original 28” griddle for over 4 years and I've been very satisfied. I wanted this smaller table top Adventure Ready griddle for tailgating and traveling. Assembly was a breeze and only consisted of screwing 4 legs on, screwing the handle on the cover, and placing the drip cup and cast iron griddle on. The package is very heavy and not easily moved around so you might need some help. The packing is very solid and sturdy to protect the contents and adds to the weight, so once you open the package you can manage the parts more easily as you assemble the griddle. The burners turn on with the twist of the temperature control knobs. The hardest part of getting your griddle ready is seasoning the cast iron, but there are instructions included and videos online that help. It just takes a little time, grease, and heat. I like to use Crisco to season, but I do use cooking oil in between uses. The important part is multiple very thin coats of oil/shortening. You never want to go heavy with the oil since it will cause build up that is impossible to clean. My other recommendations are a very sharp, sturdy griddle scraper to keep your griddle clean after each use, and you can buy a ton of the drip pan liners for cheap online. It's nice that this comes with a cover, but keep in mind that it is not to use while cooking, it's only to use as a cover between uses. My only complaint is that the inside of the cover gets scratched by the drip cup when you hang it from the back. I'm a little confused about that design. It comes with a gas attachment for camping propane cylinders, and I will also purchase a hose so that I can hook up a standard sized propane tank. Blackstone griddles cook great meals and are so easy to keep clean. Now I can grill meals anywhere!
