Rao's is really tastey, Tomato and basil was delish, has a real bite to it but good, favorite is the Peppers and mushroom, so yum......can't always get it though, going to order a few extra jars next time, Linguine is smooth as silk, can't believe I have been using Prego and others all these years, Rao's is more expensive but we only eat spaghetti once a month, figured if I splurge on anything it's this, I add meat to eat to stretch it.

Rao. because Prego is loaded with sugar

Discovered Prego was loaded with sugar, significant extra sugar per serving. After consuming Prego for over 25 years and loving it, I decided it wasn't heathy enough for me, like pouring sugar on my Italian food. So, I switched to Rao and it's more like my Italian mother used to make and the ingredients are safer and taste great. I add a little salt to it and after that it works for me. Prego tastes great, but the extra sugar should not be a part of a tomato sauce recipe, Rao costs more but at this point I'm willing to pay for it. Prego is probably part of the reason i had many cavities since we cook Italian so much. :)

Rao's Tomato Basil Spaghetti Sauce Is The Best!

When I first tried Rao's Marinara Sauce, I was impressed with the very high quality and flavor of the sauce. Then I tried their Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce and I was blown away by the flavors and texture of the sauce. It has just the right amount of seasonings and it's not too salty. It's by far the most authentic sauce I've bought from a grocery store.
