This shampoo did the job I needed it to do even without a detox; just a basic wash. My boyfriend's locs were left feeling and smelling very clean. I didn't see any major drying and his scalp is dandruff prone so lots of dead skin, but this shampoo tackled it all. (I used the spray oil to style his hair as well and it worked like a charm. smells amazing and left his hair looking gooooooood)
