This plant based high protein shakes are a great way to start the day. Easy on stomach and makes me energized for the morning. I really love this OWYN brand. It seems to be the “cleanest” of the protein drinks as far as ingredients. I love the taste of these chocolate flavor shakes.

Several years ago I had a pretty intense go round with throat cancer. I ended up with a jaw transplant (Mandibulectomy and Fibula Free Flap Reconstruction for you medical nerds). It didn't go great and I've had a lot of complications- 17 ER visits and counting- So at times it hurts to chew. My daughter introduced me to OWYN and I love it. For starters, I can pronounce all the ingredients and know what they are- complete list below. They taste pretty good to really good. I will occasionally add some stevia but that's because during the aforementioned treatment I developed somethi9ng of a sweet tooth. They seem to last for a while, I can usually go several hours without feeling hungry. The OWYN drinks are small enough to toss into your bag or purse or whatever.. definitely better chilled but they are ok at room temperature. Finally, these don't have that fake or chemical taste that other protein drinks seem to have. This is my go-to, in fact I ordered three of the 4 packs, because that 17th ER visit was three days ago.
