You will never need to buy another grill

My wife bought a P3 Broilmaster for my birthday almost 24 years ago. At the time, their brochure said, "The last grill you will every buy." With all the new features on newer grills; infrared burners, lights, etc. you may find yourself considering a new grill but there won't be a good reason if you have a Broilmaster. The thing just keeps on going, most of the time I don't even cover mine, while it's partially under an overhang, it does get lots of weather. The aluminum casting on this thing is ridiculously robust; I doubt the company every has to replace one. It's easily twice as thick as the Weber Genisis I have at our moutain house, which is covered but still required a new firebox within 12 years. I've replaced the Broilmaster burners a number of times; tried cast iron once instead of the stainless it came with....lasted about as long but takes longer to heat up. I've replaced the ignitor once and just replaced the cast iron porcelain coated grates. I clean it up once a year or so and it looks brand new. Honestly I posted this because I am really enamored with a few of the new grills; Napoleon Prestige Pro, Blaze and others but I just can't justify replacing the old gal, I know her and she's just as pretty as the day I got her. It's a no frills grill but it just works and keeps on working. Don't buy one if you don't want to keep it 20 plus years. Mine is likely going to my son when he gets a place of his own...just so I can finally buy something new. I doubt I'll be as happy with whatever I get as I've been with the Broilmaster.
