auguson farms sliced potatoes bb2050

bb 2050, use within a year of opening if you keep it below 70 degrees, in a canning jar, and less than a year if it's warmer storage or opened a lot. it'll last years longer if you use oxygen packets and sore it in a caning jar, and it's seldom open and stored under 70 degrees. i have several of their items. not just as a prepper but ounce for ounce. This is the cheaper way to buy groceries, and there's zero waste using exactly how much you want without leftovers and less packaging. as a singleton, i use one can of carrots, one can of peas, one can of soup veggies (check out the ingredients and the recipes), a can of hashbrowns, and 2 cans of sliced potatoes in a year. I haven't tried the black beans yet.. I been using my canned pantry beans first but That's next. they give you one recipie on each can. go zoom in on the black bean can and the corn can.

Taste like real potatoes

It's just me now so buying a sack of potatoes means half of them are often wasted. Even though these are expensive I like knowing I can grab just a handful at a time and make potato dishes on command. Once hydrated you can just strain, blot dry and fry like regular, or add to stews or soup as is. Added bonus is no peeling, slicing or wet garbage.

Great product

I use this as a substitute for potatoes in casseroles. It saves an incredible amount of time. Granted, old fashioned potatoes may be cheaper, but it's nice to know I have a substitute on hand when I don't feel like peeling and slicing! I have not bought ANYTHING from Augason that I have not liked. A can goes a long way!
