The instructions say to load the refrigerator slowly once it comes to the temperature you want. That way it won't overwhelm the compressor. Of course my husband loaded the whole thing at once and we were afraid that we would burn out the compressor. It worked continuously for many hours and the top was hot. BUT - finally the compressor stopped working overtime and it's been working great. So happy with this purchase.

The cooler has only been plugged into power for about 4 hours and it’s slowly bringing the temperature down. Overall I am happy with the cooler. It fits nicely right next to my hammock outside on the gazebo to hold drinks and snacks. I set the temperature to 36 degrees so I am hoping that this will hold cheese snacks because I like cheese snacks.
