My favorite door accessory!
I love these! I have had them for years now. I just put another one on today. So I own 3 now. If the molding gets in the way you just shave it down with a dremel or chisel. On my two pictures you can see it open and closed on the other. I Did have to use my dremel to get the molding down low enough so that I could shut the door. Otherwise it was hitting the door guardian when I would go to shut it. But look! It looks fine and normal! I only trimmed where the plate of the door guardian would go, no where else. So it's only in the frame. You might notice the trim down once you opened the door. You might have to be somewhat handy if it doesn't line up right away. I know how to use basic tools though, so I got it on with just a little extra effort. It keeps my kids safe because they do not know how to open it even though they see me doing it. They are 5 and 7, but also I have to show all adults too because they can't figure it out either. Really it's easy once you explain you pull toward the door, like sideways and then swing out. If the door is unlocked while the door guardian is on then it will not budge. You can pull and pull and it wont matter. I really love these and will always recommend them.

This product is the perfect answer to any parent's worst fear. I did not know this item was available or even existed. I needed a lock on the entrance doors of the house that would secure them from being opened by my 4 year old granddaughter. I do not understand how this guardian works or why it works, IT JUST WORKS. Takes a few minutes to follow the easy instructions, a couple of screws into the door frame and the door becomes immovable. It takes 2 steps to unlock it, easy enough for an adult, not a child. I can sleep now, knowing my granddaughter cannot exit the house.

Best Safety/Security Lock on the Market
This is by far, the best deadbolt on the market, both for detecting break-ins and more importantly, for child safety. I got it because my grandkid has figured out how to open the front door and can almost reach the lock. This is foolproof security. It's solid and very subtle so you can barely see it, unlike the hook style locks.
