My last nail trimmer like this, the blade got dull after years of use. I do notice that the hole to insert the dog nail is a bit smaller than the last one I had. But it's large enough to do my (24 lb) dog's nails, so it doesn't even matter. Everything else is identical. Good spring, easy to grip handle, and a blade that actually cuts. I'm happy.
