Rubbermaid Commercial HYGEN HYGEN Press Wring Bucket for Microfiber Flat Mops, Yellow

Our office building has a lot of vinyl "wood" flooring on two levels that need cleaning weekly. I like the smooth rollers and the light weight (but sturdy) structure of this bucket. It is very easy to maneuver; maybe a little too easy at times as you can slosh water if you're not careful. :-) The bucket arrived with the drain plug partially out. I had difficulty getting it screwed in tight enough to not leak water and had to ask a male co-worker to get it sealed properly. It is still almost impossible to screw & unscrew so I just leave it sealed tight and dump the water out instead of using the drain plug. Thankfully we have a large utility tub sink which makes it manageable but the bucket can be unwieldy and heavy to lift up into the sink when it's filled with water. The drain plug was a good idea, but needs improvement... The first couple of times I used the bucket, I used only the flat press wringer. The problem I ran into was constantly losing the Velcro attached damp pad (too heavy when sopping wet) and not getting enough water wrung out. The floors took a long time to dry & then were streaky. This last time I filled the bucket to the 4 gallon mark which gave me clean water on top as the dirt settled in the bottom. I then pressed the mop against the scrub board as I brought it up out of the water to squeeze out excess water and then used the flat press wringer. I no longer lost the damp pad and there wasn't excess water. The floors looked a lot better that time! Despite those drawbacks, there are still a lot of things I like about this bucket! It's definitely saving me time and is easier on my back since I'm not having to constantly lean over to wring out the damp pad by hand or move the old non-rolling bucket.
