I received a vacuum sealer for mason jars for Christmas. So I bought a case of jars. At first I thought I wasn't going to need that many but it turns out I am storing almost everything in it. Being able to see what's inside and knowing I can get a tight seal is exactly what I needed. If you like to keep things fresh for a longer period of time.I would suggest you consider this.

Very pretty jars and have gone through much and still survived while I'm still learning to can. Only time one had broken was because my nephew decided to throw a fit and smashed it on purpose. I'm actually thinking about ordering another thing of them. Ever since I made my first batch of blueberry jam more flavors have been demanded. P.S. I tried to add a photo of some of the jars with Hot Candy Apple Slices in them but it won't load. Sorry guys. (Water, Sugar, Hot Candies, and apple slices. You can find the recipe online. It's a favorite in our household.)
