Filter didn't last long

I used the filter in Florida where the water was very hard 500 ppm. The filter only lasted for 10 days. It is expensive compared to a reverse-osmosis system and not much cheaper than buying plastic bottle water. The water tastes good, no chlorine, and no after taste. I didn't tighten the filter all the way, so some tap water leaked and the ppm in the filtered water suddenly went up. So make sure you tighten the water filter all the ways. I liked the small size pitcher you could bring it with you in a luggage for oversea travel or in a road trip.
