(2 pack) Brita Plastic 6-Cup White Water Filter Pitcher with Elite Filter

I am on a real low salt diet and it's gotten to the point that even tap water tastes salty. In addition, even though I drank tap water my entire life, it tastes off lately. If that isn't enough, I found out that though my old apartment building supposedly replaced their pipes, which had lead in them, with brass ones, brass still has some lead. At this point I was looking at Britas and found out they do have one that filters all this out. It is supposed to light up but that didn't work, but I don't care. The taste is amazing. I am drinking more water. I totally recommend this.

This product was recommended recently by Consumer Reports (CR), which did not recommend Zero-Water. I saw that CR estimated the yearly expense of this Brita pitcher at $40, while for Zero-water CR said $80. So, I moved on from Zero-Water, which I had been using for years, to this Brita. Zerowater has actually cost me a lot more than that per year on the continuous need for filters. It had no working device to tell me when a new filter was needed - I had to guess arbitrarily that I needed one every 16 days. This Brita will now tell me when to order a new filter, and usually a replacement filter is not needed for 4 to 6 months.
