I keep these in my emergency food supplies and besides, sometimes you just need quick and easy. Pop the can open, heat it up, and put it over some noodles. Easy peasy. I've also made stroganoff with it. Not going to expect gourmet quality out of a can, but we like it.

Love the prompts this system gives you. First there is no bacon in this can but this beef with some bacon goes great on a flour tortilla add some veggies it is a quick lunch. My hubby loves this on crackers, we make it for sandwiches on bread, rye or white. The fat content is not a lot, you can scrape it off or use it for added flavor with pasta or veggies. Makes for a quick meal for us elderly folks and busy young people alike.

The roast beef in can was from stocking up for bad weather. Curiousity got the better of me. I took fresh veg, left over veg, and beef stock to make veg soup. I thought it time to try the canned roast beef. Was pleasantly surprised with the chunks and it tasted like stew beef. All in all, soup was made, ate my fill and have the rest frozen for a quick lunch. Now need to restock with 2 cans next time.
