McCormick Meat Loaf Seasoning Mix, 1.5 oz Packet

My family loved the McCormick Meatloaf seasoning, although I would change the directions on the back just a bit. I feel like it needs a little more bread crumbs than the recipe on the package called for but other than that it was great. The flavor was superb. Meatloaf is one of our family's favorites meals so I have tried many other meatloaf seasonings. You can't go wrong with McCormick. There is enough to use with 2 pounds of ground beef but I only had one so I halved the entire recipe. If you are using 2 pounds ground beef you will also need, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup ketchup, tomato sauce, or barbeque sauce, 1/2 cup milk, and 1/4 cup bread crumbs. Personally I feel you could use up to a cup of bread crumbs or whatever works best for your taste. I also prefer my meatloaf topped with some barbeque sauce instead of ketchup and a little cheddar cheese. This variation is also written on the back of the package and was how I prepared ours. We loved it. Honestly one of the best meatloafs I have ever had. We have 4 children and a very busy schedule so I am always looking for meals that are quick and easy to prepare but still taste good and this meatloaf fit the bill. Just mix everything together, toss it in the oven for an hour and you have a great dinner. This meatloaf mix would make a great base for any type of meatloaf you want to make. You could always add a some extras like onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, or whatever you normally prefer in your meatloaf, but I wanted to make the recipe as directed the first time just to post an accurate review of it. I will definitley be buying this again and it will be in my regular rotation of dinners. Wonderful flavor, easy to make, and the whole family loved it.

I made meat loaf for dinner using the McCormick Meat Loaf Seasoning Mix. You simply mix the packet of seasoning mix with two lightly beaten eggs and one half cup of milk. Add one quarter cup dry bread crumbs and combine all the ingredients with two pounds of lean ground beef or turkey. Mix everything together and place in a baking pan. If you like, you can add a half cup of ketchup, chili sauce or tomato sauce to pour on top of the meat loaf before baking. I made my meat loaf following those instructions, but I added two pieces of bread to the bottom of the pan to soak up any grease from the meat loaf. The meat loaf came out perfectly made and was so good and tasty. This packet contains onion, paprika and garlic and gave this meatloaf such a wonderful taste. My family loved the meat loaf for dinner. Tastes like the meat loaf my mother used to make. Also, if you don't want to use bread crumbs you can use oats in place of bread crumbs or two slices of fresh bread cut into pieces. Now I have another healthy dinner option thanks to McCormick seasonings.
