I was pleased that this was actually pretty comfortable to wear. I even wore it to the gym once. It just cinched me in and made me feel more confident. I didn't feel like my belly was flopping around. And it smoothed the rolls I'm self-conscious about. It doesn't really suck you in, though. If that's what you're looking for. I don't think it would really take any inches off the waist like a lace-up corset. But under dresses, it's easy to wear and doesn't show. Just gives you a smoother appearance, I specially under clingy fabric.
