Price: The price was excellent for this beautiful 5 piece set. Color: I really love the color of the set. It's called wine red but I think it's more of a pearly purple-wine (violet-red) color. It's definitely not burgundy or maroon colored. It's a very pretty color, not loud and brassy, but unique enough to spot it on the luggage carousel. It also has a nice texture to it. Space-Saving: I love how the entire set can all fit in the large suitcase. Rolling luggage: All the rolling pieces not only have an extendable handle, but also a fixed handle on the top that has a little bit of give and a rubberized grip at the bottom. The 2 larger pieces also have another fixed handle on the thin side of the bag to make it easier to pick up. It also has "feet" and a bag holders on the opposing thin side. The 360 degree casters have a double set of wheels at each corner and roll effortlessly. It also has TSA approved built-in locks, where you can set your own combination. Bonus Pieces: I really like the tote bag that comes with the set. I will use this piece a lot. It has a zipper at the bottom and can expand to a larger size, plus it as a flap on the bag that you can slide over the handle of one of the rolling pieces of luggage. It also comes with a matching toiletry bag, which is a nice add-on. These pieces seem water proof or at least water resistant. Durability: I have a trip coming up 2 months from now and haven't used the luggage yet so I can't comment on the durability. I've never used hard-sided luggage before and have heard horror stories about them cracking and breaking the 1st time you use it and I hope this isn't the case. However, if the 2 larger checked in bags eventually break, I think the carry-on rolling luggage (which wouldn't be thrown by baggage handlers) and the tote bag would still make it worth while.

With Southwest charging for luggage, I had to buy bigger sizes so that I can combine my clothes and my son's in 1 check-in luggage. So far so good! It has survived 1 trip. We have a few more in the next month or so and we'll see how it stands the tests of time and frequency. The material seems a little flimsy, but so far so good. I like the large double tires; they make it real easy to roll over bumpy roads. I also like how the telescoping handles are in a triangular, instead of oblong. It seems like it can withstand more impact and will not bend or deform as easily as others.
