The coffee maker is quiet and operates great. I like the single serve side because of its convenience, speedy and I don't have to use a k-cup, but my own grounds. Some reviews stated it overflows or leaks, but I haven't had any issues. I can have a decaf cup of coffee in the evening easily without making a big mess. I am enjoying another great Cuisinart product.
