It might be waterproof but not pee proof. I put pee pads inside the cover to prevent leakage onto the mattress. Overall liked the thickness of the bed. Cover can be removed easily and washes well. Ordered extra large for my 70 lb dog and he has plenty of room to stretch out.

Our dogs were in need of a new bed. We usually keep 2 or 3 of them in different places around the house. This one sounded good so I decided to give it a try. Wow what a great dog bed! I haven't layed on it but it is in front of our woodstove and I have stepped on it checking the fire. It is really well made, nice and soft, yet keeps it's shape when you get off of it. Our Doberman and boarder collie love it! I like that I can use either side. Haven't washed it yet but it looks really well made.
