Great for older people to use on nature trails

I'm 54 and use this bike to "walk" next my husband on trails again. It's so much good, sturdy fun, especially downhill! I love not having pedals in the way; starting and stopping is effortless! I took the foot rests off for a more comfortable leg swing, and I'll bet that if rubber pads were put on the bars that go around the back wheel, the foot rests could be eliminated, cutting costs. The bike is very easy to put together, the styling is sharp, the only thing I'd change is to have higher handle bars. If one can be made that's more of an adult model, I think people who have limited mobility would really like to go fast and far again, while being able to sit anytime. Thanks for the fair price, too!

Awesome bike!

We bought this bike last August for my 14 year old son who has Down Syndrome and Autism. He had been riding a special needs bike for several years as we assumed he wouldn't be able to ride a 2 wheel bike. The staff at Strider were knowledgeable and supportive with all my questions. We followed the instructions and let him get used to the bike all by himself. First he walked beside the bike, then he sat on it and walked it then he ran, then he glided. All within a matter of days. It took patience not to help him that first day but we stood back. Winter came, the bike went in storage for 6 months. Spring came, my son chose to ride the Strider bike again, he took off on it like he never missed a day. Not only could he balance, turn in circles, run, glide, he had increased his confidence and loved riding so much he asked for a pedal bike. We bought my son his first 2 wheel pedal bike a few days ago. He got on the bike and took off with no problem! Thank you Strider bikes! He could never have done that without your help!
