I had high sided litter boxes. I have one male cat that is big and started peeing over the box as he always liked the back right hand corner. With the way this is he can't get real close to pee over it. So far so good. I find the bottom easier to clean than the plastic ones.

So far, so good. The kitty is actually using it.

I have a large calico kitty that had started urinating out the side of the box, probably due to her size. We were afraid she would not use a new type box, but so far she is using it and it seems to be exactly what we needed. Hopefully, she will continue to use it. I'm planning to purchase another one since we always have two litter boxes for our kitty. It looks a whole better than having rubber mats and newspaper spread all over the room!
