A gift of clean water for Christmas.

I haven't used it as I got it for a Christmas present to a young couple in case of emergencies. The power around here goes out at least a couple times a year. And I think everyone should have a way to make sure they have clean drinking water. ... I carry a Sawyer in my pack at all times. And with Sawyer's reputation, I thought it would make a nice Christmas gift. Hopefully I'll never have to report how it worked.

Great Filter, Bag stinks!

Great filter, adapts to most everything. Had to buy separate more permanent and reliable water bags (VERY expensive but I found a great buy on "EVERNEW" Brand, replacement 1/2 gallon triple layered poly water bags at CampSaver dot com) found the bags with a Google search. they have several sizes available. REGULARLY $40 EACH !!!! I GOT FOR $12.90 EA !!! These water bags are meant to last and are made to readily accept the Sawyer water filters. The clear bags left in the sun for 8 hours kills bacteria, ultra violet light from the sun! Happy Camping!
