Red Heart Boutique Irresistible Yarn - 10 oz, Teal

I have done both a crocheted afghan/throw and a knitted one. It is so much easier to crochet with this yarn than to knit with it. I use a size 70 hook (and knitting needles) on it. The knitting needles tend to split off the edges of the strand while trying to knit it. I had no problems crocheting it. I did about chain 25 and single crochet in each stitch across (24 sts). I used the ombre and the coordinating solid, just tied on the new ball and kept going. The hardest part is trying to weave in the ends. I do wish it was machine wash instead of hand wash as I doubt the afghan/throw will be hand washable due to the size of the piece.

I really like how bulky and thick this yarn is. It comes in a good range of colors. I have gone through 2 skeins so far, and there haven't been any knots or frays. However, this yarn SHEDS!!! I got the teal colorway, and I have been finding puffs of it all over myself and my house. Not sure how it'l hold up in the long run. However, still a great value for a super chunky yarn.
