Buy it especially if you find on sale

Comfortable, true to size. Waterproof. A little heavy but not too much. Feels like a boot without the high top. I would point out that the sole is thick / high, almost feels like you're raised up on a platform. Can affect stability. If you lean a little to either side you could lose balance. I would recommend to purchase especially at the sale price. I use these for yard work not for hiking. Will see if they last. Don't have other hiking shoes to compare to.

Hiking shoes

Keep in mind they are hiking shoes so they are somewhat bulky with a thick sole. I've only had them a few days but I've worn them for long periods and they haven't caused any discomfort during the "break in" period. They provide good support and seem to be well made, time will tell.

Big shows for sturdy feet

Some background: not a hiker, but grew up wearing boots alot and walk alot for a living and in general. These shoes are good and sturdy. I saw on sale and tried on in store. Normally i do about 10, this ran better on 9 half for me and i have wider feet usually. It comes with mem foam inserts, decent ones tho i find the dr scholls work ones with gel are better for impact and longer term as replacement. Its abit tall, about an inch or inch half of platform. the laces are good tho need to lace tight or with good knot, it can loosen abit easily. The inside is comfortable tho need to break in for a day or two. the top feels more caved and shaped, tho not like metal strong. part of the waterproofing but does offer abit of protection from minor impacts. While it does protect better and keep water out, also keeps heat in and more likely to end up with sweaty feet and socks than with sneakers. Gotten quite a few compliments on it, tho was unsure at first for the style. They are abit big looking, tho could just be how looks on me, to be fair. Tight abit once laced, can get off with some struggle tho sliding on is a feat, better to get use to unlacing and lacing. This is all based on urban setting, rather than outdoors. It handles uneven angles rather well and have longer treads in them, so you get good grip constantly and rolls with you rather well. overall, if you can handle the heat being more trapped in than usual or looking for a sturdy shoe for occasions, def wouldnt pass up this one
