I had to replace one. This one is so quiet I sometimes forget its on except I am way comfortable . The old one had to stay set on 70 for any level of comfort. This one at 76 for same result. I am in Georgia and I'm not saying its hot but two hobbits just threw a ring out in my yard. This jewel keeps half of my 1600 square foot house super cool all day with no issues at all. Love it. Buying a smaller one of the same brand for the back of the house today.

Does what it's made to do.
It's a big boy first and foremost. It took some wiggling but I got it to fit. First you have to mount the outer shell then slide the inner AC inside it. It cools my room in less than 20 minutes(It's 100 outside these days) It's quiet and does it's job to keep me cool this summer. P.S. my original AC was a 6000BTU unit.

After several issues with our HVAC system, we thought it would be good to get a couple of units as a backup on a hot summer day or if our central unit breaks again. I like the different options it has and the fan speeds. F3 is high and it is a bit loud if you're watching TV but doesn't bother me while sleeping. I also like the energy saver feature, but the regular cool feature is nice because when you walk in the room it feels like walking into a cold hotel room. If you know what I mean. Overall I am very pleased.
