You should know it is slightly bigger than the average trash bag, but not a problem. The trash bag will still fit over the rim, with just a little extra room in the can at the bottom below the bag. Even though it is slightly bigger, I'm very much like it. It still fits in a small area, and holds a bit more so it works.
